    COMMUNITY PUZZLES!

Puzzle sheets, available at the library, lead to Ripon locations hosting letter clues. Find all the letters and unscramble to make a phrase that reflects the history of Ripon. Turn in your solved puzzle to be entered into a drawing for Chamber Bucks! Monthly puzzles will be released on June 5, July 3, and July 31. This exciting quest is made possible with support from the Ripon Historical Society and local businesses.

Events are at the Ripon Public Library, 120 Jefferson Street, except when an alternate location is listed. Visit the library’s website or follow Ripon Public Library on Facebook and Instagram for detailed information and the latest library news on programs and resources, or call a friendly librarian, 920-748-6160.

Village of Wild Rose is celebrating their 150 year Anniversary

    18:00 -20:00
    July 21, 2023
The Village of Wild Rose is celebrating their 150 year Anniversary this summer especially at Wild Rose Days events on Friday July 21 from 6-8PM with a free picnic and music from our own village band. On Saturday there is a parade at 11AM and other events at Robert’s Park from noon to 4PM. The Lions will have a pancake breakfast at their building on Saturday morning and craft fair provided by Wild Rose hospital (Theracare). Fireworks will be presented in the evening after dark over Robert’s Park

The Wild Rose Historical Society is also geared up to celebrate this Anniversary. A display from the the Skating Club which began around late 1940’s until the early 1950’s is being held at Pioneer Hall along with other displays about the schools, the hospital and the bands and their instruments. The museum is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10AM until 1PM. There are seven buildings to see so allow yourself enough time to browse and take in items from earlier days. There is the Elisha Stewart House; the Carriage House which stores large items such as sleighs and wagons; Pioneer Hall which was the old bank and post office; the One Room School House which was moved here in the late 1960’s from Swamp Road; a blacksmith shop & barn; a smoke house plus a weaving room and mock up of a general store along with the usual gift shop.

Come visit our museum and enjoy sights and thoughts of yesteryear.
