    St. John Lutheran Church Picnic

    Berlin’s St. John Lutheran Church Picnic will be held on Sunday, July 14th at the North Shelter House of Riverside Park. There will be a 10:30 am church service with the picnic to follow. Bring a dish to pass for the picnic. You can also bring your own lawn chairs, if you’d like.

    Parkinson's Disease & Rock Steady Boxing Lunch N Learn

    Rachel Wilberding, Executive Director of Wisconsin Parkinson’s Disease Association, will discuss resources available to assist individuals with Parkinson’s, and will also provide information on the importance of exercise. Carole Clark, Instructor for Rock Steady Boxing, Wautoma Fitness, will demonstrate this non-contact boxing-style fitness program that may help delay and fight this disease, leading to better quality of life.

    This event will take place at the Waushara County Courthouse on July 16th from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. For more information, you can contact the Waushara Department of Aging Services at (920) 787-0403.

    11th Annual Tee it Up 4 Basic Needs Golf Event

    The 11th Annual Green Lake County Tee it Up 4 Basic Needs Golf Event will be held on Wednesday, July 17th at the Mascoutin Golf Club, and they are looking for sponsors and golfers to participate. All funds raised from this event will stay in Green Lake County and will specifically benefit the Green Lake County Basic Needs Foundation. The golfing portion of the event will consist of one round of 18 holes of golf and carts. Other event activities include raffles, auction items, games, as well as lunch and dinner.

    “Starting Wednesday, June 19, Nicolet National Bank presents the Live at Lunch series for 2019! This year marks the 17th year of bringing the community downtown for a free family friendly event showcasing some of our best local artists, restaurants, and businesses over the noon hour. Each day there will be a downtown restaurant catering lunch items for purchase. Shows run Wednesdays, June through August.”

    Waupun Fine Arts Concerts in the Park

    Waupun Fine Arts, Inc. again presents Concerts in the Park on Thursdays in July beginning July 4. This year’s series starts with the popular Del Rays playing the greatest music from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. July 11 will have Scotty Meyer playing the best of blues followed on July 18 with the Beaver Dam Community Band, directed by Erin Ebersole, playing Big Band sounds along with movie and patriotic themes. Closing the season on July 25 will be the Kip Jones Band playing music of all genres. Food and dessert concessions will be for sale at 5:30 with concerts beginning at 6:30.

    Concerts will be held this year at West End Park except for the July 18th concert with the Beaver Dam Community Band which will be held at the Waupun Community Center. Bring your lawn chair or blanket. Food and dessert concessions by local service groups will be available at 5:30 with concerts beginning at 6:30. The rain venue is the Waupun Community Center, 510 East Spring Street. See you at Concerts in the Park for some great music, food and fun!

The Market is described as “homegrown, handmade and organic,” as it “offers a festive atmosphere with the best in fresh-from-the-farm produce, meats and one-of-a-kind, handmade items from area artisans.” The Market at Town Square is held on Fridays from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the Green Lake Town Square Community Center, located at 492 Hill Street in Green Lake.

    Princeton Flea Market

    The Princeton Flea Market, Central Wisconsin’s Largest Morning Outdoor Weekly Flea Market, will be held at 6:00 am every Saturday from April 20th through October 5th. The Flea Market is located at Princeton City Park at Highway 23/73.

    There will be food and refreshments available. Parking and admission are free.

    Habitat for Humanity Rummage Sale

    Habitat for Humanity of Green Lake, Marquette and Waushara Counties is gearing up for its 23rd Annual Community Rummage Sale to be held Saturday July 20th from 7:30 am to 2 pm at the Waushara County Fairgrounds. A concession stand with food and drinks will be open again this year to customers while shopping with all proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity. Not sure what to do with your rummage sale leftovers? They’ll take them! Donations of sellable items are greatly appreciated. Donations will be accepted Thursday July 18th from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, Friday July 19th from 7:30 am to noon. Weiland Trucking has donated the use of a semi-trailer again this year and appointments MUST be made to drop off items prior to Wednesday July 17th by calling the Habitat for Humanity office Mondays 8:30 am to 12:30 pm (920) 787-2888. Donors will need to be able to load items into the trailer. TVs, computers, tires, exercise equipment, mattresses, toilets, box springs will NOT be accepted. NO PICK UPS. Volunteers are needed Thursday July 18th from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, Friday July 19th from 7:30 am to noon- for sorting & unloading and setup, Saturday July 20th from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm- for loading & keeping items organized and Sunday July 21st Noon-? for cleanup.     Neshkoro Community Concert

    Bio:

    • The Neshkoro Community Chorus was formed in 2008 by Wayne Doverspike, Marilyn Brockopp and Gayle Bodoh, all choral directors from the United Methodist, Lutheran and Catholic Churches.
    • Our founders were inspired to form a choir that would create beautiful music and bring our communities together.
    • The chorus is made up of 40-50 members who live in and around Neshkoro.  Choir members travel from as far as Wautoma, Berlin, Princeton, Montello, Westfield and surrounding communities to participate in the choir.
    • Concerts are produced with the support of the Neshkoro Enhancement Committee.

    Neshkoro Community Chorus will present our Summer Concert on Saturday July 20th.

    Concert begins at 5:15 pm.

    Location: “St James Place”, 315 N Main Street, Neshkoro (across from the Community Center). 

    This summer’s concert features many great crowd favorites, popular, sacred and patriotic tunes.

    A pie and ice cream social/reception will follow the performance. 

    The concert is free (free will offering).
