Freedom Fest is Waushara County’s celebration of Independence Day sponsored by the Waushara Area Chamber of Commerce. The festival will be held on Saturday, July 6th with the parade beforehand at 5:00pm. The event will then continue on at the Waushara County Fairgrounds with food, entertainment and kids activities followed by one of the area’s finest displays of fireworks sponsored by various businesses and organizations. Each year the cost of the fireworks increases and raising the funds gets harder. To help offset some of these expenses, the WACC Board Members will be holding a Brat Fry at StoneRidge in Wautoma from 10am-2pm on Friday, June 7th. We’ll be serving up brats, burgers, and hot dogs. Come buy your lunch from us and help support Freedom Fest 2019 in the process, we hope to see you all there!

The 51st Annual Youth Days and Waukau chicken BBQ will be held Sunday June 9, rain or shine. Serving starts at 11:00 AM until sold out. Dr. Kaitlyn Smith, PT, DPT, LAT, will discuss what may be causing knee pain, how to manage it, and which symptoms would warrant examination by a health care provider. This informational session will also cover the pros and cons of a total knee replacement.
Starting June 11th, Agnesian’s Know & Go Walk with a Doc program will be held the first, second, and third Wednesday of each month from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. It will also be held the first, third, and fourth Tuesday and Thursday of each month from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
This program will be held on the Ripon Medical Center walking path at 845 Parkside Street in Ripon.
On June 12th from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Waushara County’s UW-Madison Extension office will offer information to homeowners re: their private drinking water wells – why it’s important to know if your drinking water is safe; what tests are available/costs; where you can get testing kits; how to obtain water samples from your faucet; what the test results mean that will be mailed back to you from UW-SP lab, and possible actions you could consider based on the sample results.
Patrick Nehring/Waushara Co. UW-Madison Ext. Agent/Professor and Kevin Masarik/UW-SP Groundwater Education Specialist will discuss these topics and answer questions.

The 17th Annual Father’s Day Antique & Classic Car & Truck Show will be held on Sunday, June 16th from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at Bird Creek Park in Wautoma. In addition to the car show, there will also be food, beverages, and music, as well as a 50/50 cash raffle. This event has free parking and admission for spectators.
The awards presentation will begin at 2:30 pm, with 45 custom awards in 15 classifications and a Judges’ Choice Award presented. The vehicle entry charge is $10.
The 32nd Annual Ripon FFA Alumni Country Breakfast will be held on Sunday, June 16th from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at D & D Sunny Side Beef in Ripon. The breakfast is All-You-Can-Eat and will include Wisconsin Scrambled Omelets, pancakes, sausage, pork, cheese, fruit, and beverages of juice, milk, and coffee. This program will be held on the Ripon Medical Center walking path at 845 Parkside Street in Ripon.

The festival will be held on Saturday, July 6th with the parade beforehand at 5:00pm. The event will then continue on at the Waushara County Fairgrounds with food, entertainment and kids activities followed by one of the area’s finest displays of fireworks sponsored by various businesses and organizations. Each year the cost of the fireworks increases and raising the funds gets harder. To help offset some of these expenses, the WACC Board Members will be holding a Brat Fry at StoneRidge in Wautoma from 10am-2pm on Friday, June 21st. We’ll be serving up brats, burgers, and hot dogs. Come buy your lunch from us and help support Freedom Fest 2019 in the process, we hope to see you all there!

The All Saints Church Festival will be held on Sunday, June 23rd at the North Shelter House in Berlin’s Riverside Park. There will be mass in the park at 10:30 am, with a chicken dinner to follow. The dinner will go from 11:30 am until sold out. In addition to mass and dinner, there will be games for children and adults, music, a big ticket raffle, a color run, a silent auction, and live entertainment! BINGO will also be held at 1:00 pm.
Dinner tickets will cost $10 each and will be available for purchase at the dinner.
