    Sunday, April 8th, The Wild Rose Kiwanis Broadway Musical Day Trip. The WR Kiwanis would like to invite you to join them on Sunday, April 8th for the Broadway musical, Les Miserables at the Overture Center in Madison with a visit to Olbrich Tropical Garden Conservatory. This is one of the most celebrated musicals in theatrical history with glorious new staging and dazzling scenery. All shows are almost sold out, but the WR Kiwanis has had their great seats reserved since last May.       Pyramid strength training can help you get stronger and more defined.

    Join Brenda Chantelois, certified personal trainer and certified group fitness trainer, for a workout that begins with a high number of repetitions of each set, then a gradual decrease of repetitions – then reverse it and go back up the pyramid.

    “Pyramid Workout” is scheduled on Tuesdays, April 3 to 24 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the RMC Wellness Center, 845 Parkside Street, Ripon.

    Blue Zone Healthy Lifestyle Series at Ripon Library

    Stay tuned for Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Brenda Block’s upcoming Blue Zone Diets series at the Ripon Public Library. This series will explore the diets and lifestyles of those living in the Blue Zones – areas of the world where people are the healthiest and live the longest. People in these cultures often live to be 100 years and they remain healthy! Join us as we cover a different regional diet each month, Thursdays at 6:30 P.M. this winter and spring:
    • April 12 – Nicoya, Costa Rica
    • May 10 – Ikaria, Greece

    Spring Wine Walk in Downtown Ripon

    Visit historic downtown Ripon on Friday, April 13th for our 1st WineWalk of the year. During the event, which takes place from 5:30 to 8:30 pm, businesses will become “tasting rooms” where attendees may sample up to 15 different wines throughout the evening.

    The event features a selection of wines from France, Germany, Italy, Spain, South Africa, New Zeland and Australia, as well as California, Florida and Wisconsin, including local favorite Vines & Rushes Winery. Check back for details. Numerous businesses will be open late during the event to provide you with an adequate dose of shopping therapy.

    Advanced tickets are only $20, or $30 on the day of the event. Tickets may be redeemed for glasses and wristbands beginning at 10:00 am at Ripon Chamber/Main Street office (114 Scott Street) on the day of the event. Each participant will receive a souvenir wine walk glass. No alcohol will be served before 5:30 pm. Proceeds will benefit the Ripon’s events, festivals and and downtown beautification projects.
    Come on down and join us…it’s going to be an exciting evening! Discover historic downtown Ripon, Wisconsin, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
    Rules
    • Attendees must be 21. Please bring ID with you.
    • Wine glasses must be empty before leaving each stop.
    • No Open Intoxicants in Public Spaces!
    • Wristband tear-off tabs must be removed by servers. Tabs that have been removed are void.
    Tips
    • Avoid waiting in line by picking up your glass and wristband during the day on April 13.
    • Keep your glass in hand throughout the event or label it with a Sharpie to avoid confusion during the walk.
    • Choose your route in advance to avoid getting separated from your group.
    • Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, since you’ll be walking outdoors between locations.
    • If you make purchases during some of the great sales on the route, ask the business about picking up your purchase when you complete the walk or the next day.
    • Be sure to eat lunch during the day to avoid drinking on an empty stomach. Some locations on the route will also have food available to sample or purchase.
    • Post photos to Instagram and Facebook using hashtag #riponwi
    • Cross the streets at crosswalks.
    • Bring your ID.
    • Manage your alcohol intake; we reserve right to refuse serving anyone who appears to be intoxicated.
    • No Open Intoxicants in Public Spaces!

    Embrace your inner child during a night of after-hours fun on Friday, April 13 at 6:00 P.M. at the Ripon Public Library. Outfit yourself with a NERF™ gun and then release your stress with a game of zombies vs. humans and more during this adults-only event.! NERF™ guns, “Elite” dart-style ammo, glow sticks, and snacks provided. B.Y.O.B. (bring your own unmodified blaster) too! (A small number of NERF™ blasters will be available to borrow.) “Elite” dart-style NERF™ guns only, please. Attendees will need to sign a waiver in order to participate.

    33rd Annual Wautoma Rotary Auction

    The 33rd Annual Wautoma Rotary Auction is set for Saturday, April 14th from Noon-2 P.M.

    In the near future Rotarians will be out looking for donations to be placed in the auction.  Please consider donating to our largest fundraiser.
