    Ripon Medical Center offers Pyramid Workout

      Pyramid strength training can help you get stronger and more defined.

    Join Brenda Chantelois, certified personal trainer and certified group fitness trainer, for a workout that begins with a high number of repetitions of each set, then a gradual decrease of repetitions – then reverse it and go back up the pyramid.

    “Pyramid Workout” is scheduled on Tuesdays, April 3 to 24 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the RMC Wellness Center, 845 Parkside Street, Ripon.

Instead, read what you like and then choose how you share your reading experience. Adult/Teen Services Librarian, Mandy Sprague will be on hand to offer reader’s advisory to get you hooked on your next favorite book/podcast/movie!

    SYNC returns for another summer of free audiobook downloads

    AudioFile Magazine is gearing up to give readers free audiobook downloads ALL summer long! SYNC has been offered since Summer 2010 and returns on April 26, 2018 as AudioFile Magazine’s commitment to introducing the listening experience to teens.

    SYNC audiobook titles are given away in themed pairs. Each week, two different books (one modern Young Adult book and one classic book) will be available to download for FREE. You have just those 7 days to download the books before the next two books are available, but then they are yours to keep FOREVER. All you need to participate is an email address and OverDrive for your phone or computer.

    New audiobooks post each Thursday, from April 26 through July 25, 2018. To see a SYNC schedule and to listen to a sample clip of the new books available each week head over to www.riponlibrary.org. Sign up for email or text alerts and be first to know when new titles are available to download at www.audiobooksync.com.

    RMC Auxiliary sets uniform, linen sale on April 26

    The public is invited to attend a PRN Uniform and 40 Winks linen sale, sponsored by the Ripon Medical Center Auxiliary, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 26 in the hospital’s Green Lake Room.

    PRN Uniforms will feature a selection of more than 4,000 items from top manufacturers, including scrubs, shoes and accessories at affordable prices.

    Brands available include: Barco, Cherokee, Heart & Soul, Grey’s Anatomy, KOI, Med Couture, Peaches; Adidas, Alegria, Anywear, Asics, Columbia, Dansko, El Naturalista, Fila, K-Swiss, Klogs, Reebok, Sanita, Sketchers and more.

    40 Winks will also have high-end linens available in twin, full, queen and king sizes, as well as a selection of luxury blankets and throws.

    Payment options include: cash (additional five percent discount), Visa and MasterCard. Ripon Medical Center employees will be able to use quickcharge.

                Proceeds benefit Ripon Medical Center programs and services.

    This event is designed to give area birdwatchers an opportunity to invite their NON-BIRDWATCHING pals to come and socialize over their favorite subject matter—all while enjoying their favorite beverage, be it beer, wine or soda. Also available will be snacks of various types. Birds & Brews is a great way to relax over the fastest growing sport—Birdwatching. This event will feature a preview of the Freeland Film Festival (coming in June), and a display of paintings by local professional wildlife artist, Thomas Schultz.

    Green Lake Conservancy, Town Square, & Caestecker Public Library
    This weekend is the sixth annual Green Lake Bird Festival! There are activities planned for all levels of bird enthusiasm!
    The fun begins with a bird hike at Sunnyside Conservancy at 6 am, followed by breakfast at Town Square where most of the festival will take place. A welcome and Bird City presentation will take place prior to several birding presentations: Helping Migratory Birds in Our Backyards, Who’s Calling? Methods to Learning Bird Song, and Early Birders and Bird Populations of Green Lake County. There will then be a lunch break where attendees can visit downtown for lunch before making their ways to Caestecker Public Library for the final presentation: Western Great Lakes Bird and Bat Observatory.

    Stop by the Webster’s Grocery Store, 1188 W. Fond du Lac Street, Ripon from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (or until sold out) on Saturday, April 28 and enjoy a meal with the Ripon Medical Center Auxiliary.

    Brats, hamburgers, cheeseburgers and hot dogs will be available, as well as chips, soft drinks, water and a meal deal package.

    The Ripon Medical Center Auxiliary raises money – through events like the brat fry, vendor sales and gift shop – to provide scholarships to area graduating seniors interested in pursuing an education in the health care field, and to support the health and wellness programs of Ripon Medical Center.
