ADVENTURE AT YOUR LIBRARY
Ripon, WI-Summer adventure for all ages continues at the Ripon Public Library! Thanks to the Friends of the Library and other generous partners, programming is always free, and registration is not required unless noted. Here’s what’s happening the week of July 22-26.
MONDAY, JULY 22 at 12 PM | ARMCHAIR TRAVEL | Ages 10 and Up
Explore the world from the comfort of the library or your own home as locals share their travel adventures! Join in person or via Zoom. Karl Stewart will present pictures and stories about his travels to Patagonia. Bring your own snack or lunch if you wish. Cookies & beverages served. Suited to ages 10 years and up. A Zoom link is available on the library website and Facebook page.
MONDAY, JULY 22 at 6:30 PM | ADULT BOOK CLUB: The House in the Pines by Ana Reyes
Books are available for check out prior to the discussion date. Stop at the library to get your copy. Join us in person or online for a lively discussion! Zoom link for online participation can be found on the library website.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 24 at 4-6 PM | FAIRY GARDEN ADVENTURE | All ages
With supplies gathered from nature and an assortment of whimsical doodads, let the imagination run wild as you create your own magical Fairy Garden! Teapots, coffee cups, planters, and other unique containers for housing each Fairy Garden will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring a favorite container of their own. Zhuzh it up with dried plants, whimsical miniature figures, stick figures, gems, miniature lawn ornaments, pretty stones, and more!
THURSDAY, JULY 25 at 10 AM | FAMILY FUN ART ADVENTURE | Kids & families
Art is for everyone! Join us to explore the wide world of art and creative muses through stories and song. Wear your painting clothes for hands-on fun as we collaboratively paint whimsical cardboard houses! Paint smocks available.
FRIDAY, JULY 26 at 1:00 PM | BILL HILL at the RIPON SENIOR ACTIVITY CENTER, 338 MURRAY PARK DRIVE | All ages
Finger-style guitarist and vocalist, Mr. Hill, will delight all ages with jazz standards from the 1920s to the 1960s!

ADVENTURE CONTINUES AT YOUR LIBRARY
Ripon, WI- Summer may be winding down, but exciting programs and self-guided adventures continue at the Ripon Public Library through August! Thanks to the Friends of the Library and other generous partners, programming is always free, and registration is not required unless noted.
MONDAY, JULY 29 at 2 PM | MONDAY MOVIE MATINEE | PG 13 | 1 HR 55 MIN
Welcome to movies on the big screen, in stereo, with popcorn! Today’s feature is a sequel to the original ghost-busting hit movie of the 1980s.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 31 at 1:30 PM | SCIENCE HEROES BY TALEWISE present “Adventure of the Lost Treasure” | ALL AGES
Science and stories collide in this fresh STEM show! “Adventure of the Lost Treasure” is a fascinating learning experience powered by interactive stories and exciting hands-on science experiments. A professional scientist/actor guides audience members on a treasure-hunting adventure deep within the jungle. Along the way, there are volunteer opportunities to help the performer act out the tale and conduct science experiments. Events in the story launch exploration of exciting science concepts such as air pressure, energy transfer, physical versus chemical changes, and more. The entire audience gets involved in altering variables, making predictions, and comparing results!

ADVENTURE RIPON
Explore Ripon’s unique and storied past and present with a self-paced, community-based adventure created by librarians. Pick up your adventure booklet at the library and explore the featured locations by foot, bike, car, or taxi. Answer questions related to each attraction then return the completed booklet to the library by 8 PM on September 3 to be eligible for exciting and valuable prize drawings. Five family-friendly prizes, each valued at over $50, will be awarded!
GETTING TO KNOW AREA LIBRARIES!
Did you know the Winnefox Library System spans five counites – Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Marquette, Waushara, and Winnebago? Pick up the Winnefox Library Explorer Passport at a nearby library and get it stamped at as many libraries as you can between now and July 31. Can’t travel? Call a library and ask about the library or their community. You’ll get a secret code to add to your passport.
