Kiwanis 100 Club,” 1920s jazz lounge and spaghetti speakeasy
For one night only, Sunday, March 3rd, the Ripon High School Commons will be transformed into the “Kiwanis 100 Club,” 1920s jazz lounge and spaghetti speakeasy, courtesy of the RHS Key Club and Ripon Noon Kiwanis. The two service clubs are hosting a 1920s themed mystery dinner, with proceeds benefiting the RASD Student Needs Fund.
The mystery part of the mystery dinner is that everything’s in code; it is a speakeasy after all, there’s no telling who might be listening. You won’t know what you’re ordering until it’s brought to your table. If there’s something you want that you didn’t order, like say cheese or a plate or the spaghetti, the waiters can hook you up – for a buck.
It’s all in good fun, and for a great cause. Doors open at 5:10, the first course is served at 5:30, so don’t be late!
After the last course we’ll reveal the code and serve seconds, so that everyone gets their fill.
Tickets are $20, $10 for children 10 and under; and can be purchased at the door or online at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/mystery-spaghetti-dinner-tickets-81264362796
The Webster Foundation will match the funds raised during the evening up to $500!
Ripon Noon Kiwanis and RHS Key Club Teaming Up for Mystery Spaghetti Dinner
The Ripon Noon Kiwanis and RHS Key Club are teaming up to take you back to the roaring 20s – jazz, zoot suits, flappers, and prohibition. In celebration of the Noon Kiwanis’ 100th anniversary, for one night only, Sunday, March 3rd, you’re invited to the finest spaghetti speakeasy in town.
Of course, being a speakeasy means the menu isn’t what it seems; you never know who may be listening, so the menu is in code and only the waiters know what you really asked for. If you don’t get what you’re looking for, one of the waiters knows a guy who can get you what you need, but it may cost you.
The Kiwanis mystery dinner will be held from 5:30-7pm, Sunday, March 3rd in the Ripon High School commons. Tickets are $20 per person, $10 for ages 10 and under (children will receive their own, special coded menu). Guests are more than welcome to dress in the period of the 1920s.
Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Ripon Area School District Student Needs Fund.
Tickets can be purchased in advance online at: https://riponnoonkiwanis.org/mystery-dinner
