PRESS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
7/21/23
Join us Sat. August 5th on the Village Green in downtown Ripon for a morning of community fun and support as Ripon Noon Kiwanis proudly presents the “Walk & Roll” event! As part of our ongoing commitment to raising funds for the all-inclusive playground to be located at Riggs County Park, we invite individuals of all abilities and ages to participate in this just-for-fun extravaganza. Lace up your skates, put on your walking shoes, hop on your bike, grab your wheelchair or scooter, or push your stroller, because everyone is welcome! Bring your family, your book club, your walking/running group, your grandparents, or your best friend!
This event features a short course that is suitable for participants of all abilities and ages. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just starting out, you’ll find the course enjoyable and accessible. As you walk or roll along, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about outdoor play and the inclusive equipment provided at the playground.
Door prizes may be available. So, not only will you have a fantastic time, but you might even go home with a special treat!
A Rolling Skills Challenge Course will set up under the pergola so you can test your skills with your bike, scooter, skates, or wheelchair. Prizes for accuracy!
For social media fans we will offer a selfie station to show off your backing!
Most importantly, info about the planned All-Accessible Playground at Riggs County Park will be at hand.
In the spirit of community support, we kindly ask for a free will offering to help raise funds for the all-inclusive playground. Together, let’s make a positive impact and create a welcoming space for everyone to enjoy. Join us at the “Walk & Roll” event and let’s have a fantastic day while supporting a great cause!
