    New Summer/Fall Season at Thrasher Opera House Released 

     

    Green Lake, Wis. (May 19, 2023) – An extensive mix of entertainers will perform at Thrasher Opera House this summer and fall.  With a blend of past performers and new artists to debut at Thrasher, we are excited to welcome our guests to Summer/Fall Season.  Thrasher Opera House Executive Director Rachael Avery says, “We’re looking forward to a fresh, new season that represents a variety of genres, from blues, singer/songwriters, rock n’ roll, jazz, and everything in between. We’ll welcome several new artists for the first time; others are fan favorites who will bring their talents back to the historical stage.”  Tickets will go on sale for all shows on Friday, May 19, at 10:00 a.m.  More information on all shows is available at www.thrasheroperahouse.com or by calling 920.294.4279

    August 2023

    A composer, trumpet player and educator based in the Midwest, Dietrich’s newest project, “Paul Dietrich’s 5+4”, features a traditional jazz quintet alongside a string quartet. This concert serves as a CD release party and is co-hosted with the Green Lake Festival of Music.

    Renowned American blues guitarist and singer known for electrifying performances and soulful vocals. He began as a drummer, playing w/legendary blues musician Albert Collins. Blending traditional blues with rock and Latin influences.

    Known for his soulful blend of folk, rock, and blues music, Rodriguez has released several albums throughout his career, often dealing with love, loss, and redemption themes. He’s shared the stage with The Civil Wars, Andy Grammer, Will Hoge, Sister Hazel, and more.

    Taking their audience on a journey through a dynamic blend of British classics known and loved by all, including The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queen, David Bowie, Elton John, The Who, Oasis, Radiohead, The Police, Amy Winehouse, and many more.

    A folk music band from Maine, known for their modern interpretation of traditional Acadian and Celtic music. The band incorporates a variety of instruments such as guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and percussion to create their unique sound.

    A soulful sound that blends rock, blues, country, and folk influences, The Weight Band was formed in 2013 by former members of The Band. They perform original songs and covers of classic songs from The Band and other legendary artists.

    Schofield’s dynamic and virtuosic playing style blends traditional blues with modern jazz and rock influences. “British Blues Guitarist of the Year” three times in a row from 2010 to 2012. He has toured extensively throughout Europe, the United States, and Australia.

    Kick off the Holidays in Green Lake!     Cedar Ridge Sessions at Thrasher Opera House July 27-29

    Green Lake, Wis. (July 24, 2023) – Due to the forecasted excessive heat and potential for storm activity, Thrasher Opera House has decided to relocate the Cedar Ridge Sessions on July 27-29 to the Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake (506 Mill St.) This will allow our performers, guests, and staff to remain safe and comfortable.  If you have a ticket for the July 27-29 Cedar Ridge Sessions, please note that the event will now be held at Thrasher Opera House (506 Mill St.) in Green Lake.

    The event will now feature cocktail table-style seating and a dance floor, and guests can purchase cheese trays and champagne to enjoy during the evening.  Guests are still encouraged to bring picnic-style snacks to enjoy.  Please, no carry-in beverages as a bar will be available for guests.

    This year’s performers will include folk artists Adrian + Meredith.  Their music embodies the spirit of the human story with a nod to punk, the heart of folk, the flavor of Polka, and a bounce of swing.  Dig Deep joins the bill on Friday.  A hard-driving string band from the heart of Wisconsin with 600+ shows, they have firmly established themselves as an utterly unique and powerful force in the roots world with opener Sharin’ Barrels.  Concluding the event are Minnesota’s Foxgloves, an all-female band, a little bit of country, a little bit of folk, a little bit of classical, and a whole lot of heart.

    The Foxgloves to Play Cedar Ridge Session in Ripon on July 29

    Green Lake, Wis. (July 10, 2023) – Minnesota’s The Foxgloves will play the Cedar Ridge Sessions in Ripon, WI, on Saturday, July 29, at 6:00 p.m.

    The Foxgloves are an all-female band with songs you won’t be able to stop humming. Their engaging presence, rich instrumentation, compelling storytelling songwriting, four-part harmonies, and creatively reimagined covers render them a force to be reckoned with. This powerful band is making moves you’ll want to witness. A little bit of country, a little bit of folk, a little bit of classical, and a whole lot of heart — your toes will tap of their own accord.

     

    The Cedar Ridge Sessions is a three-day concert series that combines music and nature, offering outdoor shows in the peaceful countryside. Audience members should bring their lawn chairs and any picnic-style snacks they’d like. We ask for no beverage carry-ins, as a bar will be available. Settle in and enjoy the sunset while experiencing live music. Doors open at 5:15; Concert is at 6 p.m.! The show would be moved to Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake in inclement weather.
