New Summer/Fall Season at Thrasher Opera House Released
Green Lake, Wis. (May 19, 2023) – An extensive mix of entertainers will perform at Thrasher Opera House this summer and fall. With a blend of past performers and new artists to debut at Thrasher, we are excited to welcome our guests to Summer/Fall Season. Thrasher Opera House Executive Director Rachael Avery says, “We’re looking forward to a fresh, new season that represents a variety of genres, from blues, singer/songwriters, rock n’ roll, jazz, and everything in between. We’ll welcome several new artists for the first time; others are fan favorites who will bring their talents back to the historical stage.” Tickets will go on sale for all shows on Friday, May 19, at 10:00 a.m. More information on all shows is available at www.thrasheroperahouse.com or by calling 920.294.4279

A composer, trumpet player and educator based in the Midwest, Dietrich’s newest project, “Paul Dietrich’s 5+4”, features a traditional jazz quintet alongside a string quartet. This concert serves as a CD release party and is co-hosted with the Green Lake Festival of Music.

A soulful sound that blends rock, blues, country, and folk influences, The Weight Band was formed in 2013 by former members of The Band. They perform original songs and covers of classic songs from The Band and other legendary artists.

Cedar Ridge Sessions at Thrasher Opera House July 27-29
Green Lake, Wis. (July 24, 2023) – Due to the forecasted excessive heat and potential for storm activity, Thrasher Opera House has decided to relocate the Cedar Ridge Sessions on July 27-29 to the Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake (506 Mill St.) This will allow our performers, guests, and staff to remain safe and comfortable. If you have a ticket for the July 27-29 Cedar Ridge Sessions, please note that the event will now be held at Thrasher Opera House (506 Mill St.) in Green Lake.
The event will now feature cocktail table-style seating and a dance floor, and guests can purchase cheese trays and champagne to enjoy during the evening. Guests are still encouraged to bring picnic-style snacks to enjoy. Please, no carry-in beverages as a bar will be available for guests.
This year’s performers will include folk artists Adrian + Meredith. Their music embodies the spirit of the human story with a nod to punk, the heart of folk, the flavor of Polka, and a bounce of swing. Dig Deep joins the bill on Friday. A hard-driving string band from the heart of Wisconsin with 600+ shows, they have firmly established themselves as an utterly unique and powerful force in the roots world with opener Sharin’ Barrels. Concluding the event are Minnesota’s Foxgloves, an all-female band, a little bit of country, a little bit of folk, a little bit of classical, and a whole lot of heart.

Adrian+Meredith to Play Cedar Ridge Session in Ripon on July 27
Green Lake, Wis. (July 10, 2023) – Nashville-based Roots Rockers Adrian+Meredith will open the Cedar Ridge Sessions in Ripon, WI, on Thursday, July 27, at 6:00 p.m. Adrian+Meredith have spent the last seven years with 150+ dates a year touring the USA, and since 2018, also in Poland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and UK.
Their music embodies the spirit of the human story with a nod to punk, the heart of folk, the flavor of Polka, and bounce of swing, “turn[ing] out a style that might be what alt-country would be like today if it had been born in Green Bay instead of St. Louis….sassy horns and Meredith’s fiddle in gypsy-mode to comment on how truth and integrity have become quaint ideas in America (Twangville Music). In the Fall of 2022, Adrian+Meredith went to Dial Back Records in Oxford MS to record a new EP, with the help of Squirrel Nut Zippers, Drive-By-Truckers, and Jimbo Mathus members. The Cedar Ridge Sessions is a three-day concert series that combines music and nature, offering outdoor shows in the peaceful countryside. Audience members should bring their lawn chairs and any picnic-style snacks they’d like. We ask for no beverage carry-ins, as a bar will be available. Settle in and enjoy the sunset while experiencing live music. Doors open at 5:15; Concert is at 6 p.m.! The show would be moved to Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake in inclement weather.
