Photographer Jodie Miller Exhibits at Thrasher Gallery
Green Lake, Wis. (July 05, 2022) –Photographer Jodie Miller will exhibit photographs in the Thrasher Opera House Gallery now through August 31. Miller is a native of Green Lake, WI. The daughter of Ripon College Professor Larry Miller and Betsey Miller, a teacher, the thirst for learning was in her DNA.
At a young age, horses became an integral part of her life. Mucking out stalls and helping around the stables in return for riding lessons taught her the value of hard work. Jodie went on to compete in three-day eventing. One of her high points was to successfully compete in the Rolex World Equestrian Games at the Kentucky horse park.
Along with horses, a camera became a big part of her life. Jodie started taking pictures with a Kodak Instamatic and she was hooked. By 2000 Jodie decided she wanted to get more out of her photography, purchased a Nikon camera, and then started taking classes. Her passion for photography continues to grow. Always on the lookout for a flower, interesting bug, native wildlife, beautiful landscape, or interesting cloud formation, Jodie has photographed many scenes around the world. One of her favorite places to photograph is still their family farm. When Jodie is not shooting portraits or headshots, as a partner of Anderson Photo Group, her passion turns to spending time outdoors making more beautiful photographs.
Her exhibit will be displayed at the Thrasher Gallery from July 01 to August 31. The Thrasher gallery is at 510 Mill St., Green Lake, WI, 54941. The gallery is open to the public on weekdays from 10 a.m. – to 4 p.m. and is accessible to concert patrons on event nights.
If you are a visual artist and would like to be considered for an exhibit at the Thrasher gallery, please get in touch with our office at info@thrasheroperahouse.com or by calling 920.294.4279, Thrasher Opera House’s mission is to promote the arts and the power of live performance, provide a community gathering place, and preserve the historic Thrasher Opera House. A charming, intimate, friendly venue with excellent acoustics. Built-in 1910, restored in 1997, and on the National Register of Historic Places. Seats 200.
