Step back into the 1600s and meet French voyageurs (fur trappers) traveling the Fox River. They’ll show you their furs, tools, and huge canoe. They’ll tell you about the Native Americans they’ve met, and how they live. Try on a costume, touch a fox and badger pelt, and see real artifacts from the past! Free. Thank you to Jerry Disterhaft and Glen Gorsuch for this great program!

The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin online Community Grants application process for the Fall Cycle is now open. The online application can be found at www.cfcwi.org/community-grants.
The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin offers two competitive grant cycles annually to support programs and projects in Portage and Waushara counties and align with our Mission Areas: Arts & Culture, Education, Environment, Helping People, and Wellness.
Last year, CFCWI issued more than $250,000 through Community Grants supporting local projects and programs in Portage and Waushara Counties. More than $1.2 million was distributed by the Foundation through grants, scholarships, and program services.
Grant applications are available through July 31, 2021. Awards are announced in mid-September. Application information and requirements can be found online at www.cfcwi.org/community-grants.
