    Paranormal Valentine’s Day at the Waushara Museum

    Spend some time with the spirits of Waushara County this Valentine’s Day!

    There will be two time slots to do a paranormal investigation with a real paranormal group at the museum on Sunday, February 14th from 7-10pm.

    The cost is $25 per person. Go to paypal.com and pay the money to wausharamuseum@yahoo.com and in the notes, put your shirt size.

    If you order within two weeks of the event, we will have the tee shirt there for you. There will be groups of 6 at each time slot. Tickets will sell out quickly.

    Richwood Investigators of the Paranormal will have a few people from their team walk around the museum and channel the spirits of the museum. They will have all the latest equipment to conduct the investigation with you and your significant other. If you don’t have a significant other come anyways and experience the spirits in this highly active museum that also has been known to be where Ed Gein spent some time and has some of his personal things there as well.

    Will Ed come out and show himself? Only one way to find out!

    Waushara Mobile Pantry Schedule for February

    Organizers announce today that three sites will continue to provide no contact distribution
    of food in Waushara County during the entire month of February 2021.

    Residents interested in receiving FREE food are limited to visit one pantry site per week. This
    food is available for ALL community members. No proof of identification, income, or other
    information is required. When attending a drive-thru pantry, drivers remain in their vehicles
    and volunteers place boxes of food in their trunk or back seat. Drivers are asked to make
    space in their trunks to assist with this process.

    Mobile sites have been serving Waushara County since last May. These pantries have been
    provided by the Wisconsin’s Hunger Task Force and Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin in
    partnership with Waushara County Food Pantry, the Waushara Prevention Council, Inc. and
    the Waushara County Department of Human Services. Local agencies have been assisted by
    an army of community volunteers along with businesses, community organizations and
    municipalities who hosted and continue to host pantry sites.

    For more information contact the Waushara Food Pantry at 715-869-3663. In the event of
    inclement weather, cancellations will be announced on the Bug Radio 102.3 FM.

    Mobile pantry schedules will also be posted on Waushara’s Vision Facebook page
    (https://www.facebook.com/Vision2020Waushara/).

    Event Details:     The Yarn Hand Dyeing at Farm Wisconsin 9:00 am – 12:00pm on Saturday February 30th.

    During this workshop, Carol Wagner of Hidden Valley Farm and Woolen Mill, will walk participants through a yarn dying experience. Yarn provided for the class will come straight from Carol’s flock of purebred Coopworth sheep. Each participant will dye two skeins of yarn to take home from the class.

     

    Class size is limited to allow for one-on-one instruction as participants learn about:

    🐑 properties of wool

    🐑 the process of yarn spinning

    🐑 methods of yarn dyeing

    🐑 take a turn at dyeing their own yarn.

     

    Cost is $60 per person.

     

    Each participant will have their own 6′ table to complete their project, allowing plenty of room for social distancing.

     

    We have a very limited number of spots available. Sign up early and save your spot!

     

    Don’t forget to shop in our Farm House Store for an array for goodies and unique items!

    Plus you can visit our Ice Cream Acres – serving 16 different flavors of cedar crest ice creams.

    A Candlelight Hike – COVID Style

    The Waushara Co. Chapter of the Ice Age Trail invites you and your family to hike,
    cross-country ski or snowshoe Waushara’s unique landscape on its Ice Age Trail system.
    Gather the family and/or your sweetheart, on Saturday, February 20th, for an evening of
    outdoor adventure. Watch for the luminaries at the trailheads. You can also enter a
    “Candlelight” Photo Contest.

    Enter our “Candlelight” Photo Contest:

    2. Take a Candlelit Photo
