    Birds & Brews Kick-off Event
    Friday, April 27 | 5:30 to 7 pm
    Town Square Lobby
This event is designed to give area birdwatchers an opportunity to invite their NON-BIRDWATCHING pals to come and socialize over their favorite subject matter—all while enjoying their favorite beverage, be it beer, wine or soda. Also available will be snacks of various types. Birds & Brews is a great way to relax over the fastest growing sport—Birdwatching. This event will feature a preview of the Freeland Film Festival (coming in June), and a display of paintings by local professional wildlife artist, Thomas Schultz.
    Green Lake Bird Festival
    Saturday, April 28 | 6 am to 2:30 pm
Green Lake Conservancy, Town Square, & Caestecker Public Library
This weekend is the sixth annual Green Lake Bird Festival! There are activities planned for all levels of bird enthusiasm!
The fun begins with a bird hike at Sunnyside Conservancy at 6 am, followed by breakfast at Town Square where most of the festival will take place. A welcome and Bird City presentation will take place prior to several birding presentations: Helping Migratory Birds in Our Backyards, Who’s Calling? Methods to Learning Bird Song, and Early Birders and Bird Populations of Green Lake County. There will then be a lunch break where attendees can visit downtown for lunch before making their ways to Caestecker Public Library for the final presentation: Western Great Lakes Bird and Bat Observatory.
If you have any questions about the Green Lake Bird Festival, call Tom Schultz at 920-960-1796.
