Operation Backpack is underway! The Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area, in partnership with Green Lake County, presents 2019-2020 Operation Backpack. The hours for the Fair are 8:00 am to 11:00 pm each day, and admission is FREE. The Market is described as “homegrown, handmade and organic,” as it “offers a festive atmosphere with the best in fresh-from-the-farm produce, meats and one-of-a-kind, handmade items from area artisans.” The Market at Town Square is held on Fridays from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the Green Lake Town Square Community Center, located at 492 Hill Street in Green Lake. Head down every Friday night now through September 6th from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm to enjoy FREE entertainment. The Princeton Flea Market, Central Wisconsin’s Largest Morning Outdoor Weekly Flea Market, will be held at 6:00 am every Saturday from April 20th through October 5th. Cookie Daze is a mostly free celebration for children with lots of contests, games, and of course, cookies! Cookie Daze celebrates July 11, 1992 – the day Ripon baked the biggest cookie the world had ever seen. Filled with 3.8 million chocolate chips and measuring 34 feet in diameter, “Ripon accomplished something no one had ever done before,” according to the Ripon Commonwealth Press. Today’s Cookie Daze draws crowds of families readied for the annual “cookie drop!” The event will be held at Barlow Park on Saturday, August 3rd from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. St. Paul Catholic Church is busy planning their annual Parish Festival for Saturday, August 3rd and Sunday, August 4th. Festivities will kickoff on Saturday at 5:00 pm with a mass, followed by Totally Neon (80’s Band) and dinner. Sunday will begin with a polka mass at 10am with a chicken dinner, basketball tournament, more music and food, bingo, and raffles after.
