The “Friesland Community Men’s Chorus” – a 52 person chorus group will be presenting a rendition of old time Gospel music at All Saints Catholic Church in Berlin on Sunday May 21, at 2 p.m. Regardless of your background, it is sure to bring back memories and stir your soul.
There is no admission, but a free-will offering will be taken up with proceeds going to The Boys and Girls Club of the Tri-County area, located in Berlin. The theme of the choir’s presentation is: “Give Me That Old-Time Religion.”
Join Jenni Borell, E-RYT, a certified integrative yoga for seniors instructor and certified essential low back program instructor, to release tension, increase range of motion and energize through this slow-paced, therapeutically-oriented class. This class is suited for all ages and abilities.
“Gentle Yoga” is scheduled from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Mondays, May 1 to 22 in the RMC Wellness Center, 845 Parkside Street, Ripon. Individuals should bring a yoga mat and throw blanket to each class.

Stretching is an important part of an older adult’s flexibility, and helps to offset the effects of normal decline in the flexibility of joints so individuals can remain active and independent.
Join Natasha Novak, fitness instructor, for a stretching program that incorporates breathing exercises and good posture to relax the body and relieve tension.

Discover the importance of ‘soft skills’ (the skills that include working effectively in teams, communicating effectively, understanding employer expectations, customer service, problem-solving and critical thinking, etc.) that enable people to effectively work well with others, perform well, and achieve their goals. This workshop will provide information on additional free training resources for people to expand on these soft skills to help them become even better co-workers, supervisors and managers.

Registration begins at 7a & judging by the participants, begins at 8a.m. Awards presentation begins at 2p.m. Food & beverages are avail. for purchase throughout the day in the pavilion at Future Omro’s annual fundraiser. Vendors & crafters will also be there. A memorial Day observance & parade will begin at 9a.m. traveling down Main Street & ending at the Veteran’s Memorial.
