    Learn about conservation organizations.

The Waushara Nature Fair is a free community event focused on educating people about our environment and outdoor recreation presented by the Waushara Gardeners. Meet with volunteers from local organizations that support our natural environment and beloved outdoors. Learn how to protect and expand the world’s rarest ecosystems, prairies, found right here in Wisconsin, to incorporate native plants into your landscape that are adapted to our climate and soil type. Get a demonstration on how to eradicate invasive plants.

You can also learn about birds and bird habitat improvements, interact with animals from J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue, maybe even adopt some. Obtain information on area fish and fishing opportunities with interactive games and wrap a fly. Take a look at some beekeeping equipment and learn how both honeybees and native bees help pollinate plants.

Come explore these things and much more. The 2nd annual Waushara Nature Fair is free to attend on Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 10 AM to 2 PM at the World War II Memorial Building, at 440 West Main Street in Wautoma.
