BE AWARE OF SCAMS AND FRAUDS
Every day we are bombarded with phone calls, phony web sites, mailings and emails giving us “too good to be true” offers. In almost all cases they are too good to be true!
On Thursday, April 25 at 10:00 AM, Grace United Methodist Church will be hosting a panel made up of Officer Hendrickson and Grizz from the Wautoma Police Department; Barb Richter, Branch Manager of US Bank; Courtney Anclam, Senior Program Specialist of AARP; Michael Domke, Director of Consumer Protection with the Wisconsin Dept. of Ag and Consumer Protection; and Sharon Williams, a local resident who was the victim of a scam.
Each of the panelists will speak for 10 to 15 minutes. You will then have the opportunity to ask questions. This will be open to the public. We hope you are able to join us. Please come a little early to enjoy coffee and baked goodies from the Bread Bar in Coloma.
Grace United Methodist Church is just off of Highway 22 at the south end of Wautoma near the Senior Center. The address is N2133 Southgate Terrace.

Cellist and Ripon Native Sbowe, Returns to Thrasher on April 25
Green Lake, Wis. (March 18, 2024) – Sbowe, the solo project of Ripon native Rachel Icenogle, will be presented Thursday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. at Thrasher Opera House. Icenogle is a cellist and composer based in Calabria, Italy, originally from Ripon, Wisconsin – with a mind for new and interesting sounds. Sbowe aims to thrive in the scratchy, creaky, and whirly sounds the cello can make, layering musical textures in the groundwork for fables about insects and stories about human batteries.
Sbowe released new music entitled “Bat Hat” earlier this March.
This event is supported in part by a grant from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the state of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Tickets for the Sbowe performance on Thursday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. are $15 and are available at www.thrasheroperahouse.com or by calling 920-294-4279
