“Careful the things you say; children will listen…”

James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award-winning story and music take everyone’s favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant show that is a rare modern classic.

The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse.

Also in the woods, we meet Little Red, who is trying to visit her grandmother, the Wolf who loves tasty little children, the Witch’s daughter Rapunzel, and the Princes chasing after their loves. Choices are made and a price is paid to remove the witch’s curse. Everyone has gotten their wish and will seemingly live happily ever after, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. The community must come together to save each other and their kingdom, and sacrifices must be made.

One of Sondheim’s most popular works, Into the Woods is a musically sophisticated show with a reminder to “Be careful what you wish for.”

INTO THE WOODS Is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.  www.mtishows.com

Feufollet Unveils Musical Alchemy at Thrasher Opera House

Green Lake, Wis. (January 08, 2024) – Feufollet, the dynamic and youthful band from Southwest Louisiana, will play the historic Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake, Wisconsin on Friday, February 16 at 7:30 p.m. It is a musical journey that transcends genres, embracing Cajun, honky-tonk, and string-band roots while exploring uncharted territories of modern sound.

Taking Cajun traditions as a springboard, Feufollet channels its vibrant energy and open-minded approach into its latest release, “Two Universes.” The album breaks free from the constraints of defining musical boundaries, showcasing the band’s evolution beyond their Cajun origins. The swamp’s whispers and time-honored waltzes provide a backdrop to a contemporary and expansive musical imagination, seamlessly blending blues, old-time, country ballads, and rock’n’roll into a harmonious symphony—all in pursuit of the perfect song.

Tickets for Feufollet’s performance on February 16 at 7:30 p.m. are $26 and available at www.thrasheroperahouse.com or by calling 920.294.4279

Thrasher Opera House’s mission is to promote the arts and the power of live performance, provide a community gathering place, and preserve the historic Thrasher Opera House—a charming, intimate, friendly venue with excellent acoustics.
