Experience Cimarron 615 at Thrasher Opera House

Green Lake, Wis. (August 19, 2024) – Cimarron 615 – will perform at Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake, Wisconsin, on Friday, October 4, at 7:30 p.m.

Cimarron 615’s story goes back to country-rock legends Poco and their late frontman Rusty Young, with whom all five members have musical history. When Young passed in 2021, Blue Élan Records head Kirk Pasich organized a tribute concert and album featuring the musicians who would become Cimarron 615 as the house band. The chemistry between the quintet was so palpable that Pasich offered them a record deal as a standalone touring act. Named for the Poco classic “Rose of Cimarron” and Nashville’s 615 area code, every member of Cimarron 615 is a respected songwriter, accomplished singer, and virtuosic instrumentalist. The band comprises Rick Lonow (Poco, Flying Burrito Brothers), drums/percussion/vocals; Jack Sundrud (Poco, Great Plains), bass/vocals; Michael Webb (Poco, Hank Williams Jr.), keyboards/mandolin/accordion/vocals; and Ronnie Guilbeau (Flying Burrito Brothers, Griffin-Yancey-Guilbeau, Palomino Road), guitars/vocals.

The Cimarron 615’s performance is sponsored by Heidel House, Goose Blind, and Sturgeon Spirits. This event is supported in part by a grant from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Tickets for Cimarron 615’s performance on October 4 at 7:30 p.m. are $30 and available at www.thrasheroperahouse.com or by calling 920.294.4279

Thrasher Opera House’s mission is to promote the arts and the power of live performance, provide a community gathering place, and preserve the historic Thrasher Opera House. Built in 1910, restored in 1997, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it is a charming, intimate, and friendly venue with excellent acoustics, seating 200.
