Friends of the Library Used Book Sale

Ripon, WI – The Friends of the Ripon Public Library will hold its semi-annual used book sale from May 4 – May 6 in the basement of the library at 120 Jefferson Street.  Thousands of books have been donated recently and those in the Last Chance Room are priced at 50 cents and as low as 10 cents for children’s books.  Featured displays include Star Trek and Louis L’Amour paperbacks, Georgia O’Keeffe and Japanese art books (plus many other beautiful art books), Taste of Home cookbooks, audiobooks, and magazines.  Expanded Showroom sections include Civil War and WWII, humor, crafting, biking and hiking, and fiction.  Cash and checks will be accepted along with credit cards for purchases over $10.  The mission of the Friends is to promote and support public resources and community programs at the Ripon Public Library and proceeds from the sale are used to support this mission.  In the past year the Friends have assisted with funding the digital hoopla service, summer reading programs for all ages, monthly take and make kits, support of the renovation project, and more.

    Thursday, May 4: Book Sale open from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

$3 entry fee.  All are welcome, and members of the Friends will receive $3 off admission OR one purchase made during the book sale.  Join the Friends to receive this member benefit!

    Friday, May 5: Book Sale open from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Free admission.  Open to everyone looking for a great deal on gently used books.  Come back tomorrow for even more deals!

    Saturday, May 6: Book Sale open 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Free admission.  The Friends of the Library semi-annual used book sale continues with a $3 grocery bag sale in the Last Chance Room – the Showroom is excluded from the bag sale.  This is your last chance to stock up until the next sale!  Because of the large volume of book donations received throughout the year, many of the books which don’t sell will be recycled after the sale and will not be here again.
