    Meets the third Wednesday of the month at 6 pm

    Mystery Mondays Book Club:

    Meets the last Monday of the month at 2 pm

    Stitching Together Club:

    Knitting/crocheting/needlework group that meets the last Tuesday of the month at 2 pm

    History and Tales of the Iditarod Wednesday, November 8 at 5:30 pm

    Experience tales of the famous Alaskan Iditarod as told through the eyes of historian and storyteller, Rod Perry. Having experienced the Iditarod first-hand as a musher, Perry will present an informative history and personal anecdotes of this famous sled dog race This program is presented by the Berlin Public Library and the Berlin Historical Society. No registration required.

    Adult Craft Night – Felt Pie Garland

    Tuesday, November 14 at 6 pm

    Make a festive Thanksgiving decoration out of felt and twine.

    Registration is required.

    Barbie Movie Showings

    Friday, November 17

    Join us for a free showing of Barbie (PG-13). Two showtimes available:

    Matinee – 1 pm

    No registration required.

    After-Hours Showing – 6:30 pm

    Monday, November 30 from 5-8 pm

    Celebrate International Games Week by attending Game Night at the Library. Bring your family and friends and explore the games that the library has available for checkout! All ages welcome.

    Tuesday, November 7 at 3:30 pm

    Make your own Thanksgiving dinner placemat with real fall leaves! A perfect decoration to add to the dinner table. Ages 6+ welcome.

    DIY STEAM Kit:

    Leaf Chromatography Experiment November 1 – 30

    Experiment with fall leaves to understand how they get their colors! An easy STEAM kit for families, ages 6+.No registration necessary, just pick up a kit at the front desk. One per family, while supplies last.

    Never Have I Ever Club:

    A Teen Adventurers Club

    Always wanted to delve into the iconic D&D role-playing game but found it daunting? Local Dungeon Masters guide players through one-shot adventures. Beginners welcome! No registration necessary.

     

    WEDS NOV 15-DEC 13 | 10 AM | STORYTIME FOR KIDS & FAMILIES| NO REGISTRATION

    Welcome to active learning & fun, where early literacy & STEM concepts come to life through stories, music, movement, and enrichment activities. It’s a happy place for kids and caregivers to learn and play. After Storytime, Stay-and-Play in the Romper Room! This active space allows kids to release excess energy and advance their

    physical skills all while supporting social connections for kids and their adults. On Wednesdays when there is no story time, keep up your weekly library habit with DIY Books + Romper Room! Come on in for a stack of books and enjoy social time in the Romper Room.

     

    WED NOV 15 | 6-8 PM | ADULT GAME NIGHT | Ages 16+

    Calling all strategists, team players, and those who like to test their luck—enjoy an evening of tabletop board games! Staff will be on hand to teach and guide players through a variety of entertaining and easy-to-learn games with no experience necessary.

    November’s line-up features games full of pillaging & plundering. Revisit the wild west in Colt Express, rock-paper-scissors your way through turnip farming in Village Pillage or outmaneuver your fellow buccaneers in Libertalia: Winds of Galecrest. Can’t make it? This recurring adult event (ages 16+) is held in the Silver Creek Room on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

     

    THU NOV 16 @ 6-7:30 PM | CRAFT CLUB: String Trees | AGES 10 AND UP

    Get ready for winter with these beautiful string trees! Trees can be left plain or spruced up with glittering jewels for a festive look. For ages 10+ up. Youth need adult supervision. No registration required.

     

    SAT NOV 18 @ 1-4 PM | TEEN PROGRAM | DUNGEONS & DRAGONS EVENT

    Play a one-shot D&D campaign with other game lovers! Come in costume and be prepared for fun! Due to game type, this event will run for 3 hours.

     

    MON NOV 20 @ 6-7:30 PM | ADULT LEARNING SERIES: PLANNING FOR YOUR FUTURE

    Third in our new Adult Learning Series! Join local business leaders Kristy Martin, owner of Divine Passage Funeral Home and Emily Parks, estate planning lawyer, for a presentation on END-OF-LIFE preparations. Make it easier for your loved ones by planning for your death and beyond. A question-and-answer session will follow.

    MON NOV 27 @ 6:30-7:30 PM | ADULT BOOK DISCUSSION: Verity by Colleen Hoover

    Copies of Verity are available for pickup at the library beginning October 23rd! Enjoy a lively and friendly discussion with other readers on November 27th. Discussion will be in-person and through Zoom meeting.

     

    DROP-IN BOREDOM BUSTERS

    · Come play in the Romper Room. Physical activity and human connections are important for healthy, happy human beings, and the Romper Room facilitates both! Focusing on active play, the room features trikes, foot-to-floor vehicles, a balance bike, tunnels, tumbling mats, balance beams, and more. The Romper Room is most engaging for ages 2-6 years, though younger/older kids are welcome. The Romper Room is always open during regular library hours. Drop-ins are welcome.

     

    · Enjoy coloring and activity sheets, board games, and toys every day in the children’s department.

     

    · Visit the jigsaw table where there is always a puzzle in progress! Stay for a bit and place a few pieces or settle in for a longer session.
