OCTOBER LIBRARY SPECIALS
Ripon, WI- Ripon Public Library is excited to announce its October lineup of events and offerings for all ages! Thanks to the Friends of the Library, and other generous donors, programming is always free.
CHECKOUT A CHILDREN’S MUSEUM PASS!
Come checkout a Family Pass providing free entrance to the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac and Sheboygan’s Above & Beyond Children’s Museum. The mission of these amazing organizations is to support childhood development utilizing innovative exhibits and programs that engage children, their caregivers, and the community in lifelong learning through play.
PLAY IN THE ROMPER ROOM
Physical activity and human connections are important for healthy, happy human beings, and the Romper Room facilitates both! Focusing on active play, the room features trikes, foot-to-floor vehicles, a balance bike, tunnels, tumbling mats, balance beams, and more. The Romper Room is most engaging for ages 2-6 years, though older kids are welcome. The Romper Room is always open during regular library hours. Drop-ins are welcome.
DROP-IN BOREDOM BUSTERS
Enjoy coloring and activity sheets, board games, and toys every day in the children’s department.

Marathon County Historical Society presents Vintage Game Night

| Event Details: | The Marathon County Historical Society has a new batch of Vintage Game Night dates this Fall. Our game night is the third Thursday of each month from 5-9 pm at the Woodson History Center (410 Mcindoe St. Wausau). We have 100’s of vintage games (past and present) that we put out and people can come and go as they please. We are introducing theme nights. Upcoming dates include September 21st, October 19th, November 16th and December 21st. September is pajama night. October is “All is Fall” and guests are encouraged to dress in costume. November is role-playing game night with D&D, Magic the Gathering and other games. December is vintage video game night again sponsored by the WI Computer Club and Evercon. We still pull our vintage board/card games so people have that option too. We are always looking for volunteers to help with game night. They can earn volunteer hours just by playing games, helping with set-up and take down and making guests feel welcome and included. Leftover CDs and DVDs get repurposed into gorgeous sparkly mobiles or suncatchers. Youth require adult supervision.
MON OCT 23 @ 6:30-7:30 PM | ADULT BOOK DISCUSSION
Sold on Monday by Kristina McMorris. Enjoy a lively & friendly discussion with other readers. Books will be available for check out after the Monday, September 25th meeting.
TUE OCT 24 @ 10 AM | LEARN TO LOVE LIBBY | ALL AGES | PLEASE REGISTER
