    This year, we are celebrating Green Lake’s 175th Anniversary! Join us lakeside in Deacon Mills Park on Sunday, June 5th to celebrate Green Lake and our history! Many fun events will be happening throughout the morning and afternoon including lunch, guest speakers, live music, fun children activities, cornhole tournament, ice cream, and more!

     2022 Area Events Surrounding the 100th Annual Gymanfa Ganu of Peniel Welsh Chapel 

    June 5, Annual Peony Day in Rosendale at Sisson’s Peony Gardens, 207 N Main Street (Highway 26), Rosendale, WI 54974. They will be serving a plate lunch featuring home-made desserts in the garden from 11-2pm.; Jesse Phillips (of Welsh descent), will be featured.      Wednesday, August 24 – 1:00PM Ripon Historical Society presentation highlighting Jehdeiah Bowen (of Wales), Olwen Morgan Welk, Ilah Morgan and the Welsh of Ripon and Ripon College; 508 Watson Street, Ripon WI 54971; self-guided walking tour of  Ripon in the morning; Garden of the Cross Cemetery guided walk in the afternoon; to learn more visit riponhistory.org 

     Thursday, August 25 – 1:00PM Welsh Storytelling at the historical Doe House 456 Mt. Vernon Street, Oshkosh, WI 54901.  Diane Owens Lemke will speak about the Welsh in the Civil War.  

    Board members will speak about the History of the Oshkosh Welsh Settlement.  Tea presentation by Ann Lemmenes. Te bach (little tea) to follow $10 RSVP required by August 19 

     Thursday, August 25 – 6:00PM until 12 midnight Pub Night with Noson Lawen (folk music and storytelling) led by Joe Corbin and Danny Proud; Jasper’s Food & Spirits 6510 Wisconsin Hwy 44 Pickett, WI 54964; order off the menu 

     Friday, August 26 – 10:00AM-3:00PM Winnebago Historical and Archaeological Society Museum tour of the Morgan House, history of the Welsh in Oshkosh; Peniel Chapel information. Donation to Morgan House
