Discover the splendors of Green Lake in the winter with a moonlight walk with the Green Team. Candles illuminate the path as participants make their way across the ice to Green Lake’s beautiful conservancy property, Sugar Island.
Following a short hike, participants can warm up and chat with friends and neighbors in front of a roaring bonfire.
GEAR TO BRING:
Bring a cup or thermos for hot chocolate, a stick for roasting marshmallows, (hot chocolate and s’mores gear will be provided by the Green Team), and a flashlight for hiking. Snowshoes and also sleds for pulling children are also welcome.
PARKING:
Parking will be at Sunset County Park along CTH A in Green Lake, located next to the Green Lake Sailing School. From there, cross CTH A onto the frozen Silver Creek Inlet and follow the candlelit luminaries.
