6 December 2019 News
Walking down Watson Street in Ripon this weekend you could run into Jacob Marley’s ghost or even a reindeer. Though the Christmas time festival revolves around the Charles Dicken’s masterpiece “A Christmas Carol” it is all about making new memories for visitors and residents. Ripon Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jason Mansmith says one of the newer events they are happy to have is a parade, which kicks off at 6:30 tonight. “So we are getting full so it should be a great parade and we are excited for it and only hoping to continue to grow it throughout the years. We are really excited for it is an even that was requested by a lot of people and we are glad to do it this year.” More than 25 events connected with the celebration will take place over the next three days including “Living Windows,” a tour of homes, quilt show, Breakfast with Santa and more. For a complete schedule of Dicken’s events visit the Chamber’s website.
