Waupun Man Charged In Grandmother’s Death

A dozen new charges including first degree intentional homicide have been brought against the 30-year-old Waupun man suspected in the death of his grandmother. Gregory Spittel made an initial appearance in Fond du Lac County court Monday on the new charges stemming from the August death of 75-year-old Carol Foreman. She was found in the basement of his home with serious head injuries and died several days later. A cash bond of $1 million was set and Spittel will be back in court for a preliminary hearing on January 2nd. Spittel was initially charged in two separate cases, but none of those charges were connected to Foreman’s death.
