Winter Storm Could Affect Holiday Travel

Thanksgiving travel could be treacherous for some with a winter storm expected to dump from 8 to 12 inches of snow on northern and northwestern Wisconsin tonight and tomorrow. In southern parts of the state there will be rain and light snow. Meanwhile there is a wind advisory Wednesday from 8 am to 6 pm. Among the counties in the advisory area are Columbia, Dodge, Fond du Lac, and Jefferson. Winds will be out of the west from 25 to 35 miles an hour with gusts of 45 to 55 miles an hour.
