Missouri Man Accused Of Killing Wisconsin Brothers Makes Court Appearance

The 25-year-old Missouri man charged with the murders of two Shawano County, Wisconsin men made his initial appearance court appearance on the charges Thursday. Garland “Joey” Nelson appeared via phone from a Missouri Jail. He waived his formal arraignment and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 14th. Nelson is being without bond.  He is suspected of killing Nick and Justin Diemel and of burning their bodies. The two men visited his Braymer, Missouri farm on July 21st to do livestock business with him. They owned Diemel Livestock in Bonduel. Human remains were found in a manure pile on the farm on July 30th. Through DNA comparisons they are believed to be Nick and Justin Diemel.
