The Berlin Fire Department will hold their annual pig roast and open house tomorrow at the fire station. Lieutenant Stacey Zietlow says the event will run from 10 am to 3 pm with serving beginning at 11:30. They will also do free in town deliveries. People can check out their equipment and kids can get rides on the fire trucks. She invites anyone who has an interest in learning more about the fire department to join them for the day. “It’s a good time to come on down, get to know your local firefighter, look at all the equipment we have ask us any questions . If you’re thinking about joining the department it’s a great time to come down talk to the chief, talk to the other firefighters and see what we are all about.” Deliveries are available in town by calling 920-361-5417. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Advance tickets are available through fire department members and also at Mike’s Bike Shop and Bucky’s Bar in Berlin. The fire station is located at 226 Spring Street. Proceeds go toward equipment purchases for firefighters.
