Public Flu Clinics Have Begun

The Fond du Lac County Health Department has begun conducting public flu vaccine clinics. They will start their school-based clinics at all area schools the week of October 14th. Walk-ins will start at the Health Department Office in Fond du Lac in the middle of this month. Updated information on the clinics is available on the department’s website. Health Officer Kim Mueller says, “Getting a flu vaccine is the number one way to prevent and lessen the spread of influenza.” The Center for Disease Control recommends flu vaccine for everyone 6 months and older. State Health officials say the flu is already putting people in the hospital.
