Bond was set at $5,000 cash for the 21-year-old Appleton man suspected of involving Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies and a State Trooper on a high-speed chase last weekend. Ladonaven Brown made his initial appearance Wednesday on felony fleeing and a resisting arrest charge. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 20th. According to the criminal complaint Brown lied about his identity when he was stopped for weaving from lane to lane on I-41 last Friday night. He took off when the deputy told him he was lying. The deputy was able to identify the registered owner who was Brown’s girlfriend and that the two lived in Appleton. Appleton Police took Brown into custody Monday.
