Petri To Receive McCallum Award

Former Congressman Tom Petri will be honored when the Republican Party of Fond du Lac County has their Reagan Night next month. Rohn Bishop is chairman of the County Party. He says the event will be held at South Hills Country Club in Fond du Lac on October 17th at 6:30 pm. Petri will be honored with the Scott McCallum Lifetime Achievement Award named after the former governor and first recipient of the award. Bishop says Petri represented the area for a long time dating back to his days in the State Senate. “He represented Fond du Lac in the State Senate in the 1970s and then the 6th Congressional District from 1979 all the way through 2016 and so we are excited to bring him back to give him an award and thank him for representing us so well.” Former Governors McCallum and Scott Walker will be on hand for the evening. Tickets are available through the Fond du Lac GOP’s Facebook page and website. The event is a fundraiser for the party.
