A robbery charge has been dismissed against a 36-year-old Ripon man suspected of trying to rob the BMO Harris Bank in June. Fond du Lac County Judge Gary Sharpe granted a motion last Friday to dismiss an attempted robbery of a financial institution with a dangerous weapon charge against Troy Loehrke. Loehrke is still charged with disorderly conduct for the June 11th incident. His bond was also reduced from $100,000 to $1,000 cash and he posted that bond. According to the criminal complaint he was confused and distraught when he was at the bank. He had a knife on him, but did not display or threaten anyone with it. No money was taken during the incident, but he did mention to bank employees that when police came he wanted them to shoot him.
