Fall Story Time

8 September 2019 News

Ripon, WI- Ripon Public Library’s children’s department is excited to announce its fall storytime schedule. Registration is not required.

Growing children into readers is the storytime mantra. Adult and child participants enjoy an exciting mash-up of age appropriate books, language, music, movement, and play with a focus on early literacy learning activities.  In addition to its educational and developmental benefits, storytime enhances child/caregiver bonding, and provides a venue for caregivers of young children to connect and support one another. Come early and stay after!

On Wednesdays, September 11 through October 9, enjoy these offerings in the lower level storytime room.

  • Bouncing Babies, designed for children 6 months to 2 1/2 years old, meets at 9:15 a.m., and lasts approximately 20 minutes.
  • Peppy Preschoolers, delightful for children 2 1/2 years and up, meets at 10:15 a.m., lasts 30-40 minutes, and focuses on the 5 practices- sing, read, play, write, talk – which have been proven effective in nurturing a child’s language and early literacy development.

On Wednesday, October 16 storytime shifts to Pajama Time at 6:30 p.m. Special guest, storyteller Margaret Meyers, delights all ages with her passel of stories especially selected to tickle the funny bone and spark the imagination. Pajamas are welcome for a smooth transition to bedtime.
