Python Remains On The Loose At FDL High School
A three-foot long Ball Python named Kai is still on the loose at the Fond du Lac High School. It escaped from its cage in a science classroom over the Labor Day weekend. Weather Impact
The Communications and Emergency Management Director for Fond du Lac County feels weather is having more of an impact on our lives. Bobbi Hicken says weather patterns change and it seems storms pack more punch than they used to. “The weather has gotten a lot more volatile and we are seeing that all over the place. You are seeing that with hurricanes with tornadoes, the storms. Just a thunderstorm and the amount of the wind and the damage that can occur with the wind.” Hicken says that’s why they preach being prepared for weather and heeding watches and warning that are issued. She says they have been fortunate they haven’t had to active the County’s Emergency Operation Center since flooding in June of 2008.

Christopherson says that’s an improvement over the first year of the tour when they only had nine sponsors. The tour also encouraged donations to the Ripon Food Pantry.
