Boater Missing On Lake Winnebago

Winnebago County Sheriff’s officials say a 60-year-old Texas man that had gone missing on Lake Winnebago has been located and is safe.  David Daniels had been camping at Kalbus County Harbor a private campground in the Town of Black Wolf.  He took his pontoon boat out on the lake about 10 Thursday morning. A fellow camper reported him missing at 9 pm. The search for him continued overnight and he was found safe this morning. Among those participating in the search were the Sheriff’s Marine Unit and a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter.

Winnebago County Sheriff’s officials are looking for a 60-year-old Texas man that has gone missing on Lake Winnebago.  David Daniels had been camping at Kalbus County Harbor a private campground in the Town of Black Wolf.  He took his pontoon boat out on the lake about 10 Thursday morning. A fellow camper reported him missing at 9 pm. Daniels is white and a disabled veteran. The pontoon boat is white with a white canopy. Daniels did not have a cell phone with him. A search overnight didn’t turn up any clues to his whereabouts. Anyone that might have seen the boat is asked to contact the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department.
