Elderly Woman Injured Man Arrested At Home In Waupun

Waupun Police are investigating how a 75-year-old Mayville woman suffered severe head injuries at a home on Brandon Street Saturday morning. They got a call just before 9 am about an elderly woman who wasn’t breathing and possibly had no pulse. When officers arrived a 30-year-old Waupun man confronted them, threatened them, and assaulted an officer. They used a taser on him. They found the woman in the basement of the home and she was taken to Waupun Memorial Hospital and later flown to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah with head injuries. The man who confronted officers was arrested and was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting an officer, battery to a law enforcement officer, and threats to a law enforcement officer.
