Update:

A 22-year-old Beaver Dam wanted for a domestic incident was fleeing from police when he crashed his car into the north wall of the Beaver Dam Middle School late Wednesday night. Deputy Chief Scott Bahr says the man got into an argument with the 30-year-old woman he lives with and broke a window at their residence in the 800 block of North Center Street before leaving in his vehicle. Officers located the vehicle about 20 minutes later and tried to stop it, but the man fled at a high-rate of speed. He was heading south on Grove Street when his vehicle left the roadway and hit the school. The crash damaged the building, electrical and water utilities. Firefighters put out a blaze when the car started on fire. The man suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was arrested on domestic disorderly conduct, fleeing an officer, operating while under the influence, operating while suspended, and operating without insurance charges.

Beaver Dam Police and firefighters responded late Wednesday night when a car crashed into the Beaver Dam Middle School. A police officer was seen drawing his gun in what appeared to be a high-risk traffic stop. The white passenger car started on fire after the crash with flames spreading to an outdoor electrical unit. It took about 20 minutes to put the fire out. After the crash witnesses saw an occupant in the car crawl out the back window. That person was treated by first responders. The incident happened about 11:40 last evening on the north side of the school.
