Wanted FDL Man Captured By Dodge County Authorities

A 35-year old Fond du Lac man wanted on multiple felony warrants was taken into custody after an all search Thursday. Authorities learned Richard Erdmann was at the Royal Oaks Motel just outside Horicon, but before they could make contact with him he fled into a nearby marsh. That led to a search that involved multiple law enforcement agencies and fire departments, ground and air searches. A drone and K9 units assisted in the search. The search was called off at one point due to the marshy and wet terrain, but just before nine last night Sheriff’s officials got some information that led to Erdmann’s arrest. The search took more than 12 hours. He was taken into custody without incident.
