High Speed Chase Culminates In Crash In FDL County

A 17-year-old Milwaukee youth is facing an eluding charge after leading Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies on a high speed chase on I-41 northbound early Thursday morning. The teen was doing 98 miles an hour near the County Highway B exit ramp when a deputy activated his lights and sirens. The boy increased his speed in the SUV to 120 miles an hour and was weaving in and out of both lanes of traffic. Deputies were deploying stop sticks when the SUV exited at County Highway N losing control in the process. The SUV went into a ditch where it crashed and became disabled. The chase covered 12 miles and no one was injured during the pursuit. The teen was the sole occupant of the SUV. He was taken to the County Jail. The chase occurred shortly after 2 am.
