Ripon, WI- The Ripon Public Library is pleased to offer a summer of free events! Upcoming features for the month of August include:

Monday Matinee, every Monday at 2 P.M.

 Lit & Fit: A Walking Book Club, Thursday mornings

Talk about what you’ve read lately and get new book suggestions during a morning walk with other readers. Two schedule options offered:  Thursday mornings at 6:30 A.M. and the fourth Thursday of the month at both 6:30 & 9 A.M. Meet in the library parking lot.

Sunday, August 11 | 1 P.M. | Dungeons & Dragons Campaign

Newcomers and experienced gamers embrace the fusion of gaming and role playing in this fun, dynamic experience that meets on the second Sunday of the month at 1 P.M. For ages 13-adult. Younger participants welcome if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Tuesday, August 13 | 2 P.M. | Teen Board Gaming (Ages 12-17)

Explore an assortment of games from the library’s modern board game collection. Staff and expert volunteers will be on hand to guide players through a fun and rich gaming experience.

Tuesday, August 20 | 6 P.M. | Adult Game Night—Hidden Movement Games Featuring Fury of Dracula (Ages 16+)

Get your game face on and enjoy modern board games at the library! This month, we are featuring Fury of Dracula, where players act as hunters who are tracking down the notorious vampire. Letters from Whitechapel (Jack the Ripper theme), Last Friday, Spector Ops and Captain Sonar will also be available for players to enjoy. Bring your favorite party games to share.

Tuesday, August 27 | 6 P.M. | Books N’ Brew (Ages 16+)

Catch up with what other readers are enjoying over a cup of coffee on Tuesday, July 23 at 6 P.M. at Mugs Coffeehouse at this adults-only event! Unlike traditional book clubs, there are no assigned books. Instead, readers share their excitement over current and favorite must-read titles! Adult/Teen Services Librarian, Mandy Sprague, will be on hand to offer reader’s advisory to get you hooked on your next favorite book/podcast/movie!  Books N’ Brew meets the fourth Tuesday of every month. 

Wednesday, August 28 | 5:30 P.M. | One-shot Role-playing Adventure: Mutant Epoch

Explore a new one-shot RPG adventure with pre-made characters on the 4th Wednesday of each month at the library at 5:30 P.M.! This month’s featured role-playing game is Mutant Epoch, a post-apocalyptic adventure where players battle mutants and cyborgs to survive.  Newcomers and experienced gamers are invited to join in on this fun experience. Drop-ins are welcome!
