Ripon Common Council Trying Signage For Barlow Park Loop

14 March 2019 News

The Ripon Common Council this week decided vehicles will not be allowed to use the Barlow Park Loop to drop off kids going to Barlow Park Elementary School. When temporary barricades are removed April 1st signs will be going up advising motorists the loop is for park-related activity only. Another further into the park will advise, “No stopping, standing or parking past this point.” The Council decided to see if the signs will correct that behavior during April and May. If not the Council could consider removing pavement for the loop altogether. Police Chief Bill Wallner is also hoping the public will comply he told the Council, “Going up there to write tickets is not something my officers or I want to do.” The Council will revisit the issue in June.
