Violent Sex Offender Being Released In Winnebago County

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office will host an information meeting next Tuesday about a violent sex offender that is being released into the community. The courts have ordered supervised release for 57-year-old Dwight Chouinard by Saturday, March 16th. Chouinard will be living at 9510 Hopi Lane in Fremont. He will be on GPS monitoring. The meeting is at 6 pm Tuesday at the Wolf River Town Hall in Fremont. He sexually assaulted a 6-year-old girl on multiple occasions in 1993. He also was convicted of fourth degree sexual assault in a Traverse City, Michigan case in 1979.
