Bond has been set at $100,000 cash for a 25-year-old Fond du Lac man suspected of shooting another man in Fond du Lac last week. Mohamed Elmhdati made his initial appearance in Fond du Lac County court Tuesday morning on first degree reckless injury, armed robbery and other charges stemming from the February 26th shooting of a 25-year-old Fond du Lac man. According to the criminal complaint Elmhdati allegedly shot the victim with a 40 caliber handgun in front of the man’s 5-year-old daughter. The victim told police he believed his daughter’s mother was having drugs delivered through the mail to the girl’s grandmother’s home and Elmhdati thought he had a package that was delivered there. When Elmhdati was interviewed by investigators he told them the victim had pulled a knife on him. The victim was shot in the leg and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Elmhdati will be back in court for a preliminary hearing on March 15th.
