Former Ripon Teacher Sentenced For Having Sex With A Student

A former Ripon High School teacher has been sentenced to three years of probation for having sex with a student. Twenty-nine-year-old Samantha Marco, formerly Samantha Fitzpatrick. was sentenced Monday in Fond du Lac County court. Judge Gary Sharpe did not sentence her to any prison or jail time, but she will have to register as a sex offender. Marco was sentenced on one count of sexual assault of a student by a school staff member. Three other charges, including child enticement were read into the record and dismissed. She apologized during the sentencing hearing. She resigned from the Ripon Area School District in May of 2017.
