Fatal House Fire In Southern Green Lake County

A 29-year-old Princeton man died in a house fire in rural Markesan early Sunday morning. Green Lake County Sheriff’s officials say a resident on the south side of Green Lake called in the fire at W2081 Tuleta Hill Road. When, deputies, fire department and emergency personnel arrived shortly before 1:30 am the home was fully engulfed. As the fire was brought under control a search team found the victim. He lived in the residence. The fire is being investigated by the Wisconsin State Fire Marshal’s Office and Green Lake County Detectives. The cause and origin is not yet known. Six fire departments battled the blaze. Tuleta Hill Road is located in the Town of Green Lake, about 5 miles north of the city of Markesan.
