FDL County Sheriff’s Deputy’s Close Call Goes Viral

A close call for a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy assisting a motorist who had slid off a highway during a recent snowstorm has gone viral. Deputy Jason Fabry was walking back onto the highway after assisting the motorist when another driver lost control in the oncoming lane and slid across the road nearly hitting him. The incident was caught on dash cam video and as of this morning had more than 200,000 views on Facebook and over 2,800 shares it was also played on national morning shows on TV. It can be seen on the Sheriff’s Facebook page. The Sheriff’s Department urges drivers to go slow during snow events and allow yourself extra time to get to your destination.
