Plymouth cruised to the Eastern Wisconsin Conference title at the conference swim meet, finishing with 535 points.

Berlin/Green Lake’s Kaylee Kriha won the 100-yard butterfly.

NEENAH – Neenah won four individual events and one relay and had at least two finishers in the top six in 11 of the events to easily win the Fox Valley Association conference meet with 569.5 points.

WEST ALLIS – The Wildcats, who trailed 2-0 at halftime, got their lone goal in the 52nd minute on a penalty kick by Edgar Heredia.

Hamilton, which was seeded second and improved its record to 15-1-3 with the win, will be making its first appearance at the state tournament. Oshkosh West finishes with a 14-4-1 record.

 

Fond du Lac freshman Riley Collett finished in sixth-place finish in the Division 1 State Cross Country Meet at Wisconsin Rapids on Saturday. Her time of 18 minutes, 37.6 seconds was 16 seconds short of her best time, 18:21. Collett was the top finisher on the Fond du Lac girls cross country team. Fond du Lac finished in 15th place with 337 points. Muskego finished first with 48 points.

 

Oshkosh North sophomore Jack Scherer finished 11th in boys Division 1 State Cross Country Meet.

He was just 5.4 seconds from placing in the top 10, completing the 5,000 meters in 16:00.7, six seconds better than his previous best personal time.

In Division 2, the Winneconne boys team finished in 12th place with 289 points. The Wolves top runner was junior Nate Schacherl, who placed 30th in 17:06.2.
