David Price pitched six innings of three-hit ball, and major league RBI leader J.D. Martinez broke a fifth-inning tie during another two-out rally Wednesday night that led the Boston Red Sox to a 4-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers for a 2-0 lead in the World Series.
Craig Kimbrel closed out the win at noisy Fenway Park, putting the Red Sox halfway to their fourth championship in 15 seasons.
Game 3 is Friday in Los Angeles. The Dodgers would need a win to avoid an 0-3 deficit that no World Series team has ever recovered from.
The Red Sox have won 14 of their last 16 World Series games, dating to a four-game sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals in 2004.

The Packers continue to get ready for Sundays game in against the Rams and their high powered offense. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was a full participant in practice Wednesday after sitting out Tuesday. A number of other players, including Wide receivers Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison saw limited participation. Cobb has missed the last three games and Allison two games with hamstring injuries. Jimmy Graham, Jaire Alexnder, Jason Spriggs, Baushad Breeland, Brian Bulaga, Nick Perry and Equanimeous St. Brown also saw limited participation.
The Packers defense will have its work out in stopping quarterback Jared Goff and NFL rushing leader Todd Gurley. The Rams have failed to score 30 points only one time while the Packers topped 30 points just once, in their game against the 49ers, when they scored 33. Linebacker Clay Matthews said the Packers defense has its work cut out but that they feel confident, despite being underdogs going in.
